Our rules

• No payment from any company, in any form, changes a vehicle’s ranking, a total cost of ownership figure, a Watt2Buy Score, a CO₂ figure or a recommendation. Results come from the sources and method described in the Guide and on the Disclaimer page.
• A company cannot pay to be ranked higher, to be shown first, or to have a figure about its product changed.
• Any paid listing, sponsorship, co-marketing, data licensing or referral arrangement will be listed on this page, under “Current arrangements”.
• Where a page names a company with which Watt2Buy has, or is negotiating, one of these arrangements, a disclosure line appears next to the name.
• If you think a result has been influenced by a payment, tell us through the contact form and we will look into it.

Terms we use

Paid listing:

a company pays to appear on Watt2Buy.

Sponsorship:

a company pays to support a page, report or feature.

Co-marketing:

Watt2Buy and a company promote something together.

Data licence:

Watt2Buy supplies data to a company, or a company supplies data to Watt2Buy, for a fee.

Referral arrangement:

Watt2Buy receives a fee when you act on an offer, for example by applying for a loan or booking a service.
